Sowing and Growing

God has placed this message in my spirit to discuss for months, probably years. It is urgent. He wants His people to repent and become knowledgeable about the things of the kingdom. The Body of Christ has been disobedient regarding sowing. However, He corrects those He loves by His grace and mercy.

Let’s get right into it.

Sowing is not for the sake of blessing the minister who is preaching or to get a blessing, It is to support the ministry of Jesus Christ at work. We have to contribute to the spread of the message of Jesus Christ all over the world. Today, we see this appear by sowing so that the church buildings are paid for, outreach ministries are supported, and hospitality is shown among the saints- the truth is these things cost. This is not to say that every group or assembly that calls themselves a church is on a mission to further the glory of Jesus Christ throughout the nations. This is where the church is at fault. For decades, believers have been putting their money into faulty ground because of deception in thinking that the minister carries a greater anointing than Jesus Christ whether they know it or not, or can admit it or not. This deception has commonly come in false prophecies of blessings, sermons surrounded by the flesh and desires of the person listening instead of the word of God and Jesus Christ, and manipulation that if you do not sow a seed, you will miss your blessing. The Lord Jesus Christ Created you and blessed you with yet another day and your seed was not tied to it. God’s hand does not move based on our money, He does not need it, He created everything that exists today, and the world’s currency system does not apply to Him. It is by faith in Jesus Christ alone that are we saved, it is by the spirit of God we are blessed.

Luke 8:2-3 KJV

“And certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils, And Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others, which ministered unto him of their substance.”

Acts 4:31-34 KJV

“And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness. And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common. And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all. Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,”

Acts 6:1-4 KJV

“And in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplied, there arose a murmuring of the Grecians against the Hebrews, because their widows were neglected in the daily ministration. Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them, and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables. Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business. But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.”

Now I understand that there have been a great number of deceptive teachings twisting scripture, saying that we must sow a seed for God to bless us and quite honestly, if you surrender your ears daily to the Holy Spirit you would hear the foolishness. When you have the word of God in you daily, you have a built-in detector system that will help you discern what is of the spirit of God or a spirit of error. I do not care who the person ministering before you is, even if the Lord led you to be under their ministry, you must ALWAYS check in with the Holy and test the spirit behind the messenger. Even though you may be deceived for a moment because you have the word of God in you and a relationship with Him, you will quickly leave once it’s revealed to you.

1 John 4:1-6 KJV

“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.”

Some simple ways to Test the spirit:

Prayer: Always pray and ask the Holy Spirit to give you wisdom and the gift of discerning spirits. Invite the Holy Spirit to help you listen with His ears so that you can receive Him in the message or reject it if it is not of Him.

Read the word of God: Reading the word of God will help you to discern what is what because the spirit that is in you as a believer of Jesus Christ, bears witness only with itself in other people. The Holy Spirit is the only pure and good spirit, so it can not commune nor relate to whatever is not of Him!

Whenever a message is being preached, take note of what scriptures are being mentioned and referenced. When you go back home take some time out and read these same scriptures and the surrounding scriptures as well for context. Do this with the Holy Spirit to test the spirit, but not only that, this will allow the Holy Spirit to give you more revelation and a greater understanding of what was preached if the message is truly from Him.

Romans 8:16 KJV

“The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:”

See whether the person/ ministry is proclaiming the right Jesus, that is the only Jesus: Did you leave having more faith in yourself or God and His word? Did they proclaim only God’s word, repentance, and preach with Holy conviction, and God’s love in truth? Did you leave wanting more of God or wanting more for you?

2 Corinthians 11:4 KJV

“For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.”

As we are still living on this earth, testing the spirit never comes to an end. The enemy is constantly looking for ways to get us caught up and devour us.

1 Peter 5:8 KJV

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

2 Corinthians 2:11 KJV

Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

Many times in scripture when we see the promises of God, indeed they are conditional, but never in scripture do we see Jesus say to sow a seed and you will be blessed. Many times when the Great man of God did in scripture things that God rewarded them for, It was because of their obedience that came from a heart of worship, not because they felt like it was an obligation or rule they had to follow. Faith was what triggered their obedience to giving and sowing unto the Lord. We see this when Solomon gave a wealthy sacrifice unto the Lord for what he promised he would bless Him within (1 Kings 3:11-15), we see this with Abraham when God gave Him the victory in war and tithed ten percent of his goods to the High Priest Melchizedek (Genesis 14:14-20), and we see this with Abel who gave an acceptable sacrifice to the Lord. Giving Him the best of His first fruit (Genesis 4:4).

This post is not to deter you from paying tithes and sowing but to encourage you to do it correctly. Many people do not realize that many of their physical and financial challenges can be tied to the minister who keeps making vain promises to them that they will be blessed not off of the leading of the Holy Spirit but because they have a greedy and rebellious spirit that seeks its pleasure. This can also be because the Holy Spirit is not welcomed in a church. The church can be rooted in unrighteous judgment, doctrines that preach God is hate and not love, and restriction of God’s order in the church (may not necessarily be a five-fold ministry but reject the concept of fivefold, preach against it).

Yes, God has a blessing for you. There are countless promises throughout scripture of what blessings God has for His people, but I guarantee you that He appreciates your obedience and worship to Him versus you cursing, fornicating, masturbating, dishonoring your parents, lying, gossipping, willfully sinning, and sowing seed. That seed is no good in God’s kingdom and bad seeds become weeds. It doesn’t start with what you sow, it starts with how you are sowing it. Do you do it grudgingly? 2 Corinthians 9:7 tells us, “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.”  We see in the story of King Saul, that he made an offering that the Lord rejected because it came from disobedience and doing what his flesh desired, it was not a real sacrifice because he didn’t give up what the Lord wanted Him to (read 1 Samuel 15).

We are not just in trouble for the bad ground we’ve been sowing in but for rejecting sowing into good ground. Pure and God-fearing ministers who are really about the will of the Father should not have to beg the church to sow to help maintain and advance God’s kingdom. You will see people roll their eyes, suck their teeth, make comments like well “I got things to do”, or mention the minister's financial status as if they were called to pay for everything for the ministry and to make God’s kingdom on earth happen by themselves. NOOOOOOOOO! Yall this is beyond selfish. If you have it give it for the glory of God, people need to hear and know Jesus Christ. Stop playing before church resorts to how it was with John the Baptist, outside, in a literal wilderness. You will be slapping your body through the whole service because of the mosquitos that will be bothering you. (Lol I am playing but kinda serious on this part). God does bless people with wealth, it is not a sin to be wealthy. However it is what he wants to bless them with, but that does not mean they take on the whole let alone the majority of the assignment by themselves. 1 Corinthians 9:10 KJV tells us, “Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope.” I am even seeing this be a warning for anyone who is called to Godly wealth or who is already in it, PLACE THE RIGHT BOUNDARIES WITH WHAT GOD BLESSED YOU WITH! Submit to God and allow Him to show you how to steward your money, do not be stingy, but do not be someone who can be taken advantage of, both of these are idolizing money it just looks different. Yes, the more we have, the more we contribute to God’s kingdom but that does not mean taking on everything yourself. If you find yourself in this situation pray, repent, and ask God to help you! Remember Jesus blessed us with an amazing prayer point in Matthew 9: 37 and 38, “Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few; Pray ye, therefore, the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth laborers into his harvest.”

Let’s pray together:

Lord, Jesus, we repent for taking on the weight of the gospel by ourselves and for not sowing into good ground, as your word shows us. Deliver us from moving by our wants and help us move by your Spirit. We ask that you send forth more laborers in your harvest. We thank you and receive it in Jesus' Name.

We are called to sow into God’s kingdom to advance here on earth. Revival is coming we must prepare for it. God is with you but you must also be with Him.

I love you with the love of Jesus Christ! Toodles! 💕

Also, If you would like to accept the love of God and His son, Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, or even if you have backslidden and want to return to the Lord, Here’s a prayer to guide you.

“ God almighty, I come before you to accept your love, to no longer reject you and what you have done for me. I choose to stop running from you and to finally stop rejecting myself of your love. Thank you for dying for me Lord Jesus, thank you for taking on my sins and shame. Thank you Lord that you became a curse for me so that I would no longer be bound by them but set free by your blood that was shed for me. Thank You for making yourself available to me, as friend, father, Lord, God, helper, comforter, savior, and all the good things I need in my life. Jesus I love you and ask you to help me keep loving you like how you want me to. I accept you completely as my Lord and savior, not what this world and demons have presented to me. Now I declare in the both spiritual and physical realm, that I not longer belong to Satan nor his Kingdom but according to Colossians 1:13, God has delivered me from the kingdom of darkness and has placed me in the Kingdom of light, where Jesus Christ is, I declare I belong to Jesus Christ and I now seat with Him In heavenly places. I rebuke all demonic retaliation in me making this decision and come into agreement with a sound mind in Jesus name. I repent, renounce, denounce, and divorce myself from all the sins I’ve committed (list what you can remember) and break the evil covenants associated with them, and I declare once again I am a part of the kingdom of Jesus Christ. In Jesus name I pray and seal this prayer in His blood, Amen.”

Hallelujah! Congratulations if you made this decision. I pray that you prevail in your walk in the Lord, that forces of darkness continue to fail concerning you, and that the forces of light continue to persevere and propel you in the name of Jesus.

And if you have not yet, get you a Bible. Please, it’s a lot of ghetto foolishness concerning Christianity and religion. The Bible is the only way to protect you from it and will show you how to be a Christian and have a real relationship with Jesus Christ.
