Exposing the New age witchcraft deception
It’s like this thing is everywhere, no matter where you turn, it's there. I walk into the beauty supply store, look at the makeup collections available and a stack of some sage is right there for purchase. The enemy is strategic too because it's always in the front of the store as if it's saying “Aye look at me and don’t leave without me”. Sometimes one spot is not enough, sage along with similar items are scattered throughout the store in random spots. Then goes the stores like Five Below, which have a section full of all things to make an altar at home, need crystals? Sage? Incense? and more? It’s there. It’s advertised everywhere without a commercial being released. It’s advertised on the necks of teenagers in the form of crystals, it’s captured on the rearview mirror, in the form of dream catchers. In the malls, there are stores dedicated to it- dedicated to witchcraft. Want to know how to get into it? YouTube is full of deception teaching on it. It’s interesting how the devil wants to be like God and so he perverts the things of God so that people would not experience the true power of freedom, healing, peace, prosperity, and all the good things God gives us. He is still playing the same ole tricks he did in the garden in Genesis 3, convincing humanity that God is evil and so is everything he creates and that all that God is against and is not of Him is good but not just good, pure, and magical. I do not believe this will be my first time touching on this topic because it is so deep and I do not mind bringing destruction to the enemy’s camp by destroying one of his biggest deceptions in the world today. Some of you may come across this blog post and think it’s another foolish Christian just talking about something they don’t know about or trying to force their religion upon people, Well allow me to correct you, I used to be a foolish person practicing new age witchcraft without me even knowing it, until the truth himself set me free to know the truth, not just truth about the light but truth about the darkness as well. So before I start with what the world is doing, let me start by testifying how Jesus Christ, the Lord, and Savior, spared me and showed me His mercy by delivering me from the new age movement. Yes, this is another New Age to Jesus story because He is just that powerful and loves us so much! My prayer is for eyes to be open, souls to be saved, repentance to happen, and idolatry to be prevented in Jesus' name.
Hi, my name is Esther, yes just like Queen Esther in the Bible. Truth and integrity were something always important to me, especially since I felt like all those who were older than me were not living in it and tried to paint a picture of themselves that said otherwise. I grew up in a Christian household but I want to make it clear, that though my people are Jesus-believing, practicing the word of God was not something they did well. When I thought about the Bible back then, I was used to it being used as a judge’s gavel to dismiss people before they had the opportunity to know the love of God, either way looking back on my life I am still happy that I was taught that this life it is all about Jesus though I may not have seen that all the time. I will spare you the details on other parts of my life so that we can get to why we are here- New age. I was always a seeker of truth, from the black power movement in my elementary years to the nation of Islam and the teachings of Louis Farrakhan in my middle school and early high school years to claiming Christianity just because that is how I was raised and familiar to, to taking things into my own hands and wanting to deeper my relationship with God in the best way I knew how, by what made sense to me and sounded like truth. Truth be told though, I was in a lot of emotional pain and did not know how bad it was. I was desperate to find a way out because thoughts of suicide and hoplessness were what seemed more reasonable to me.
Similarly, I have found that many times in my experience in evangelizing to anyone who has partaken or is involved in new age witchcraft is because of these things: Depression, emotional pain, feeling hopeless, anxiety, desperation for peace or freedom, prosperity, to fit trends, feeling powerless, or manifesting a life that their flesh so eagerly desires. Peace is the biggest one. It’s like when you don’t have your peace you are capable of being a villain in your own life, dangerous because you begin living out that chaos just to quiet that noise. I think a misconception we sometimes have as believers looking at the world is that they should automatically know that wickedness is wicked, but just one problem, wickedness can be deceptive. Yes, it sometimes looks and feels good, especially when it seems like there is some type of relief given (or so we think). I remember getting into New Age was something that grew gradually. First I was into vision boards, simultaneously manifesting, then getting into the law of attraction, then mediation, then worshiping the sun and air, and yoga, but the thing I loved about getting into yoga was that was the same day I got out because Jesus came like a whirling rushing wind and showed me His love and who He is! I got into these things not to do any harm but to bring peace to my life, walk in what I felt like love should be, and get closer to God- I know that is weird but I thought God was in these things. However, God had mercy on me though I was doing wrong. He knew my heart and pain. Although Satan was trying to pull me in closer, God was pulling me as well. I was listening to sermons, reading the word of God more, listening to Gospel music in the mornings, and even praying more. My love for God grew and so did my faith. Something I would like to add is that during this time, I didn't really believe in Jesus but God grew my faith in Him by allowing His Spirit to minister to my heart during these times and eventually I came completely around, He showed me His love despite me rejecting His son, He never rejected me.
One of the biggest deceptions of the new age spirituality is that it’s of God, even if God is not being thrown around in some new age conversations and people would resort to just saying they are spiritual, things that only God can give are being said new age can give. This includes; vengeance, peace, provision, protection and security, love, romance, healing, emotional stability, joy, power, identity, prosperity, etc. However, I would like to explain how demons work. Demons are deceptive, they have the same mission as the devil and that is to destroy all of humanity to the greatest extent. They are also known as intelligent beings by definition and are ancient spirits, meaning they also know how human behavior works better than any psychologist. They have studied our bloodlines and know what patterns are common for us. They know that there are fleshly desires and Godly desires, and they know that humans are very emotional beings like their creator God the only difference is God’s emotions are Holy and accurate at all times and humans tend to allow their emotions to tell them what should and should not be when it should be wisdom giving the guidance. So because of this, demons know that if they can deceive us by our wants without us knowing who God is, it will keep us from God’s will because we see our wants as good, then declaring our desires to be God when that is not the case.
Another deception I would like to expose is getting results and feeling “better” means that this is good because it’s working. Jesus gives better results; we just have to be willing to allow Him to show it to us. There is a spiritual realm and we are all connected to it somehow and in some way, it’s a matter of what side you choose to be on. God does put desires in our hearts, however, if we choose to take shortcuts and illegal routes to get there, just know that you have come out of alignment with God’s will and partnered up with demons to deceive you to get you there and those results are temporary. You see, anything God gives us is connected to His kingdom meaning it has an eternal effect on it, not that it will exist forever but that it will give Him the glory forever. Demons know that you would be pleased by what your physical eyes are after if they have not been purified by God, so what they do is masquerade themselves as friends when they are foes. They know the consequences of sins and would trick people into falling into those traps and then torment them for it. This is the case with new age.
Know that all that you are in of is in the Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us in Joel 2 and Romans 10:13, that anyone, which goes for any person, any sinner, who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Call on the name of Jesus and allow him to save you, allow him to reveal to you what true spiritual authority is. Do you want peace, joy, freedom, true prosperity, and all things good? Accept the Lord Jesus as both your Lord and Savior and see how what He does is far greater than anything you could’ve manifested, meditated, attracted, did yoga poses for, etc. The love of God is powerful. The love of God covers a multitude of sins. The Love of God sets people free and keeps them there. If you feel like God abandoned you or is not good because of past experiences or things that you’ve witnessed be like Job and plead your case with Him. Tell how you feel but allow Him to respond so that you can understand how things are. Unfortunately, we allow our offenses with God to cause us to pull away completely and find alternatives that seem better or “work for us” when there is no such thing. Once you part from the source and go to the resources you don’t have the real thing but the mockery of it. Allow God to show you why He’s good and not people or experiences to tell you that He is evil.
If you would like to renounce new age practices and give your life to the Lord Jesus Christ repeat these prayers, pray these prayers boldly, and don’t allow fear to cripple you. God is with you.
Also, If you would like to accept the love of God and His son, Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, or even if you have backslidden and want to return to the Lord, Here’s a prayer to guide you.
“ God almighty, I come before you to accept your love, to no longer reject you and what you have done for me. I choose to stop running from you and to finally stop rejecting myself of your love. Thank you for dying for me Lord Jesus, thank you for taking on my sins and shame. Thank you, Lord, that you became a curse for me so that I would no longer be bound by them but set free by your blood that was shed for me. Thank You for making yourself available to me, as a friend, father, Lord, God, helper, comforter, savior, and all the good things I need in my life. Jesus, I love you and ask you to help me keep loving you like how you want me to. I accept you completely as my Lord and savior, not what this world and demons have presented to me. Now I declare in the both spiritual and physical realms, that I no longer belong to Satan nor his Kingdom but according to Colossians 1:13, God has delivered me from the kingdom of darkness and has placed me in the Kingdom of light, where Jesus Christ is, I declare I belong to Jesus Christ and I now seat with Him In heavenly places. I rebuke all demonic retaliation in me making this decision and come into agreement with a sound mind in Jesus' name. I repent, renounce, denounce, and divorce myself from all the sins I’ve committed (list what you can remember) and break the evil covenants associated with them, and I declare once again I am a part of the kingdom of Jesus Christ. In Jesus' name, I pray and seal this prayer in His blood, Amen.”
Hallelujah! Congratulations if you made this decision. I pray that you prevail in your walk in the Lord, that forces of darkness continue to fail concerning you, and that the forces of light continue to persevere and propel you in the name of Jesus.
Prayers of renunciation:
Dear Lord heavenly father, I thank you for the blessing of now having the salvation of the Lord Jesus Christ and making me an heir to all that it comes with. I repent before you today for my involvement in new age practices, worshiping the earth, elements, worldly meditation, yoga, chanting, Buddhism, Law of attraction, manifesting, love spells, protection spells, all spells, astral projection, curses, opening the third eye, chakras, crystals, pagan worship, joining of cults, waist beads, new age power beaded bracelets, spirit guides, Hinduism etc.(list anything else that you may have been involved in. Since you accepted the Lord Jesus Christ you now have the Holy Spirit that will guide you into all truth and bring things to remembrance, you can ask Him to help you remember anything you need to renounce). I repent for idolatry and for trying to play the Holy Spirit in my life and use these things to do the same. I renounce, denounce, break every demonic covenant, come out of agreement, and take my bloodline out of accord with involvement in new age practices, worshiping the earth, elements, worldly meditation, yoga, chanting, Buddhism, evil eye, Law of attraction, manifesting, love spells, protection spells, all spells, astral projection, curses, opening the third eye, chakras, crystals, pagan worship, joining of cults, waist beads, new age power beaded bracelets, spirit guides, Hinduism, etc. I blind every third eye and evil eye that was opened in my life and bloodline with the blood of Jesus in Jesus' name. I completely deactivate the workings of these practices in my life and shut every door opened unto them by the blood of Jesus Christ. I command every evil spirit that came through to be cast out and to go to the abyss and to never return in Jesus' name. I command the Kundalini spirit, the spirit of witchcraft, the spirit of rejection, the leviathan spirit, the spirit of anger, the spirit of fear, the spirit of manipulation, the deaf and dumb spirit, the spirit of Jezebel, the spirit of slumber and laziness, the spirit of blindness, to leave right now in the name of Jesus! I cancel your assignments in Jesus' name. I declare there is no more room for demons to work in my life in Jesus' name, I am free and brought by the blood and body of Jesus Christ. John 8:36 says, “Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed” and I declare the Son of God has made me free. I wash myself with the blood of Jesus and command my heart, mind, soul, body, and life to align with God, His will, and His word right now in the name of Jesus. I rebuke and cancel any demonic retaliation that would try to come against me for choosing to be free in Jesus' name.
Be sure to continuously pray, repenting and casting out anything the Holy Spirit may be revealing to you concerning the New Age. Do not condemn yourself either, God is for you not against you and he has forgiven you and chosen to set you free.
Now if you have any physical items that were for new age it is time to dispose of them because that is what the demons are attaching themselves to. If possible, burn them, it’s the best option. Acts 19:19, says, “ 19 Also, many of those who had practiced magic brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all. And they counted up the value of them, and it totaled fifty thousand pieces of silver. Ask God to lead you, don’t become paranoid and start throwing things out because you start thinking everything you have is demonic.

Buddha statues
Crystals
Sage
New age books
Esoteric books
Christ consciousness books
Charms
Power beaded bracelets
False religious books (the Quran, book of Mormon, catholicism books, etc)
Waistbeads
Once you have completed all of this, be sure to anoint your home with anointing oil. This an oil you pray over in faith to Jesus powered by the Holy Spirit, you can pray the Lord’s prayer over it found in Matthew 6 verses 9 through 13, and invite the Holy Spirit to activate it for the Lord’s will. ONLY USE IT FOR PERSONAL USE ONLY, don’t go out casting your pearls on swine and just put it on everyone. Yes, you can use it for your immediate family members including your children. Use it to anoint your personal belongings such as your home, car, beds, purse, clothes, etc. (you can place it as lead, many times through scripture it is placed on the head of people). Use it as you feel led to. Don’t idolize the oil, it is a privilege to have but the true power will always be in the Godhead (God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit, as well as God’s word).
